Where are you from?
What is your role at Sparkfly?
My title is Vice President of Professional Services, but my role is to connect and enable our technology (Development and Support) and business (Sales and Client Services) teams so that we provide innovative solutions that benefit all merchants.
When did you begin at Sparkfly?
What is your experience in the digital marketing, QSR and/or retail space?
I have provided technology solutions to retail and hospitality industry clients for 10 years. Before joining Sparkfly, I was part of a team who sold security software to the top 200 retail and restaurant brands domestically. My experience solving data security challenges has provided helpful perspective as we (Sparkfly) support marketing leaders in this industry. While marketing’s key focus is the consumer’s relationship with their brand, data security must always be part of the conversation as we help design their marketing technology ecosystem.
What do you think is most powerful about Sparkfly’s Offer Management Platform?
For marketing: Real-time campaign attribution data makes offers-based marketing a scientific process, providing immediate performance data so under-performing campaigns can be adjusted in-flight.
For the brand’s technology team: We remove Point of Sale Engineers from the marketing process by offering a simple, scalable solution that empowers marketers to create controlled campaigns, in minutes, that can be redeemed at the register.
What do you wish marketers knew about Sparkfly?
In addition to being a best of breed Offer Management platform, we also leverage our point of sale integration to power other marketing initiatives such as loyalty and guest surveys. Also, our real-time data can be fed directly back to your CRM or CDP to make all of your marketing communication more personalized and relevant.
What do you think separates Sparkfly from your competitors?
Sparkfly’s people are really exceptional. I believe we have the smartest project architects in the industry. They are supported by brilliant, creative engineers and devoted client advocates.
What project or client work at Sparkfly are you most proud of?
Sparkfly, as a company, is my favorite project. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to help Catherine grow this business. When I joined in 2014 there were only 4 of us. We have learned so much together, and we have grown our team and our business while retaining the fun and supportive culture that makes Sparkfly the best!
What’s the best piece of career or life advice you ever received?
“Lean in”. Be heard.
What inspires you?
My son inspires me. He inspires me to work hard, to provide the things he needs. He inspires me to be kind so that he will expect kindness from, and be kind to, others. He inspires me to be joyful, and appreciate this miraculous life even on the hard days.
How do you celebrate your successes?
Champagne and french fries.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Travel. So far, Budapest is my favorite city.
